$1,000 deposit required to reserve your date. Contact the office to arrange payment after submitting your application.

Good to Know

No overnight — day charter only
No systems or overnight experience required
Docking skills are still essential — ~90% of damage happens in the marina
All charterers receive a dockside briefing regardless of experience

This is a Bareboat Charter

You are the skipper. Our briefing captain will familiarize you with the boat's systems and safety gear before you depart — this is a "where is it" orientation, not sailing instruction. You must be competent to handle the vessel independently. If additional instruction is needed, we can arrange time with a captain at the rates listed in the application.

Before You Apply

Qualification Guidelines

Please honestly assess your experience against these guidelines before completing the application. Overstating experience can delay your departure or result in additional costs.

Boat Size

The boat you charter should be no more than 5 feet larger than the boat you're competent handling — especially in a marina with a 15–20 knot crosswind.

Recency

Your experience should be within the last 3 years. Older experience is okay but may require a brief refresher — sailing isn't always like riding a bike.

Day Sails

Overnight systems knowledge isn't required for day charters. But you still need to get the boat out of the slip and dock it at the end of the day. Docking skills are non-negotiable.

Honesty is Everything

If experience is found to be significantly overstated and damages result, you may be liable beyond the damage deposit. Fill out the application accurately — we'll work with you from there.
